SUPERAntiSpyware is one of the quickest virus scanners on the market and is an essential weapon in your arsenal of virus scanners.

Before scanning, always check for updates.
To run a scan, go to scan your computer and select which scan you would prefer. Complete scan is the best way to go here, because quick scans dont find everything.
If you are trying to check a specific file for a threat, you can either use the custom scan option, or you can right click a file or folder and select scan with SUPERAntiSpyware.
Once you have made your selection, click next.
The scan will begin, searching through the memory, the registry and files. When the scan is complete, click next to remove any threats that have been found.

SUPERAntiSpyware Control Centre

In the SUPERAntiSpyware control centre, you can change the settings of SUPERAntiSpyware to suit your needs. To get to the control centre, click the preferences button.

Scan at startup

Using the control centre, you can easily set the program to run a scan at start up.
To do this, simply go to the General and Startup tab in the control centre.
Make sure the start SUPERAntiSpyware when windows starts option is selected, and choose your desired scan from the right hand side.
The Check for updates before scanning on startup option should be selected if it is not already.

Stop SUPERAntiSpyware from loading at startup

It can be quite annoying when SUPERAntiSpyware loads at start up, but this can easily be changed.
Under the General and Startup tab in the control centre, un-tick the start SUPERAntiSpyware when windows starts checkbox.

Reset program to default settings

This can easily be done by clicking on the Reset Program Options button in the general and startup tab.

Manage Excluded Folders

To reduce scan times, you may want to exclude certain folders such as photo or audio folders.
To do this, go to the Scanning Control tab in the control centre, and click the Manage Excluded Folders button.
Go to the add button, find the folder you wish to exclude and click ok.

Hi-jack Protection

Many different kinds of malicious software are able to take control of your web browser and change your home page permanently. Hi-jack protection prevents this from happening.
To set up hi-jack protection, go to the Hi-Jack Protection tab in the control centre.
Select the Protect home page from being changed option.
Type your home page in the text box, but make sure you leave the http:// in front of it.

Update Options

You can set SUPERAntiSpyware to update automatically.
Go to the ‘Updates’ tab in the control centre and tick the Automatically check for… checkbox. You can also stop the program from updating when it starts up and change notification settings here.
